I love it when I meet “kindred spirits” and women who believe that homemaking and working from home can be an art. I found one such blissful soul in Maricel Mendoza. I blogged about our recent lunch a while ago, here: The Week That Was: Work in Bliss
Here’s us again:
Maricel was a business bliss & blog coaching client of mine from a couple of months ago. Since we met, we “clicked.” I knew this was one lady who understood that working from home and being a homemaker-mom weren’t mutually exclusive. You can do both, do what you are passionate about, and earn from your passion-based business. Through our coaching and “work-life editing”, Maricel was able to achieve this bliss…
… which has now given birth to her newest “baby, A Sweet Cottage: A creative enterprise that offers workshops, sweet treats and event details. As a business & blog, A Sweet Cottage advocates the handmade movement, and offers services such as crafts & DIY workshops, as well party planning services, fondant cakes, and custom party essentials.
The Sweet Cottage website is now up, and was (as usual!) a collaboration between me, Maricel, and the queen of all femme-and-fab web design, Patricia of Fancy Girl Design Studio. Check it out at www.asweetcottage.com
This November 21, Maricel and I agreed to officially “launch” her new business through a collaborative workshop. What better way to start off that with a Christmas-themed one that’s both sweet and dainty, right? This workshop is slated to be a super-sweet one! We’ll be making craft Christmas Tree Tabletop Centerpieces, which will be great for your home parties — and also, a fun activity to do with the kids.
