Our little troop went to the Heima VIP Launch last March 13, over at their new Brixton store. It’s my favorite of all their branches, and I’ve been to all! Stepping inside felt very much like being in a candy store for Pinterest, crafters, vintage-lovers and design hipsterism. Love it.
But, words are so boring. I’d rather take you through our afternoon in pictures. All I can say is that the Brixton branch is nothing but sweet. Not girly, but sweet in a Design Sponge-Apartment Therapy kind of way. My husband (who is as manly as it gets) loved the vibe. (He also enjoyed the LP collection.) I took too many photos, as usual, so I’ll just share them here. Enjoy the eye candy!
Vito and “Horsie.” I love red and aqua together, don’t you? And I love those chairs.
Vintage typewriters, LPs, and washi tapes. Loved the washi tape art on that wall!
Heima has a wonderful selection of turntables. And LPs, too. This pink turntable is too adorable. I don’t need it, but it would sure look awesome at home! The equally adorable ceramic lamps, like this owl, also come in different models.
Vito charming his way to into the hearts of the Heima staff. He loved the vintage typewriter, and even punched in his own name! (I’m lusting for the yellow Olympia. It reminds me of the summer I learned how to type back in my grandmother’s dental office!)
Books, home scents, William Morris tape measures, and calligraphy note cards from Paper Club. Pretty, pretty, pretty buys! And buy, I did. Of course, I would have wanted to snag a lamp or a chair, but maybe in a few months, when I have deeper pockets to dig into! I so love this chair, but there really isn’t a place in the house for it. So I just took a picture:
But this Sophie chair is just killing me — notice how it’s in my colors: pink, aqua, grey. I’m adding this to my wish list.
I didn’t buy a chair that day, but I did go home with some loot. My buys included:
1. A Space of My Own by Caroline Clifton-Mogg (Ideas for home offices — yay!)
2. The Heima Bunny Plushie
3. William Morris measuring tape
The “Live Happy” tote was a gift from Heima for all VIP launch party guests. Thanks, Heima!
I wanted to take home this pink bike — it’s the bike of my girlish dreams. The yellow desk is delish, don’t you think? (My outfit deets: Alexa dolman tee from Catalogue 63; Cole Vintage necklace and skirt; CMG t-strap sandals. On Vito: Shirt and shorts from Big & Small Co.; Crocs sandals)
Thanks for having us over, Heima Brixton! Congratulations on your launch! We’ll be back soon!
