Well… I find it only fitting to do this on a Monday morning, when (ironically) I am not at home, but blogging from a Starbucks in the central business district while I wait for a meeting to begin. Yes, the WAHMderful mom is not at home today! I kinda like it… but don’t get me wrong. I’m not giving up my little life of bliss at home. I’m much too in love with the idea of my home office.
Still… It’s nice and peaceful here, so conducive to some good writing, which I’m doing right at this minute.
Anyway, I mentioned it’s a good day to tell you about work, since it’s Monday. So, I’d like introduce you to my new “baby.” She is, in fact, sort of like my child, because I’ve cared for her, watched her grow, and pour as much love into her as anything else I am passionate about.
And here she is:
WAHMderfulLife.com is the official blog and website for the WAHMderful Life organization and its workshops. The WAHMderful Life Workshops is a suite of live, on-site training and coaching sessions specifically for work-at-home women, whether married or mothers. These workshops are a joint venture between WAHMderful Life and Manila Workshops. As an “incubator” and venue for thought leaders and passionate creative entrepreneurs, Manila Workshops put the framework and provided the marketing power for this suite of workshops for work-at-home moms and married women. Ginger Arboleda of Manila Workshops has been instrumental in bringing my life list goal to fruition, in the form of two successful WAHM workshops: The Work-at-Home Moms 101 last October 2012, and the Real Ways to be a WAHM workshop last January.
The WAHMderful Life blog will host several of Dainty Mom’s previous posts on working from home and being a WAHM. It will also be a place for other work at home women to showcase their own WAHMderful lives, through the Real WAHMs interviews. I’m also working on a WAHM Service Providers section, which will house the profiles and connection details of several work at home women, especially those based in the Philippines.
I am very glad that I am now able to separate the “work at home lifestyle” content to a domain and home of its own. While I’ve enjoyed writing about my WAHM-y life here on Dainty Mom, I began to feel like it needed a place of its own, especially since there is a strong community behind it, and it is clearly a niche on its own. I’ll keep on writing here on Dainty Mom, of course, on my “bliss” as a mom, which includes stories and experiences that go far deeper than my life as a work-at-home mom. So I hope you’ll still join me here
