Welcome to this week’s Dainty Dozen, a round-up of recommended reads and resources from around the Web, for moms and mom bloggers. We’re curating the best content on a mom’s lifestyle, mom blogging, family, and products & services that make a mom’s life more blissful.
We’re back! It’s a new month, and I’ve had quite a busy January, as you all know. Mostly, I’ve been busy with my WAHMderful Workshop (which I have yet to write about) and with our Singapore family vacation (which I hope you’ve been reading about). Anyway, I’m less busy, so I can back to giving you more goodies — with Dainty Dozen!
Today I wanted to share mostly about the resources that have helped keep me sane as a work at home mom, and about the blogs and sites out there that have been inspiring me lately. I hope they’ll do the same for you!
For Busy Moms
It’s always great to find helpful resources like these, when you’re a busy mom like me! I hope you’ll enjoy these resources, all of which are geared towards making you a more efficient mom, whether you’re a WAHM like me, or a mom entrepreneur, even a working mom!

For Writers and Bloggers
One of my blog resolutions for 2013 is to go back to blogging for myself. Of course, I’ll always be blogging about stuff that interests you guys — like these Dainty Dozen posts, which have been so helpful to many of you. But, I also enjoin you to blog more about what makes you happy. And here are some resources that can help you do that.
25 Free Romantic Fonts by A Subtle Revelry. Use these to create lovely text elements when you do graphics for your blog posts.
Mama Kat’s Writing Workshop — Great prompts on how to write just about anything when you feel like you don’t know what to write about.
Mom Blog Discoveries
I’ve stumbled upon some new blogs in the last few months, and I realize I’ve not shared much about them! Make sure to add these to your reading list!
The Mommist — I first found out about Len when I was searching for new blogs to follow here in Manila. Her blog is refreshingly similar to some of my favorite American blogs, like Joanna Goddard’s A Cup of Joe. Witty, charming, and always entertaining, The Mommist is not-your-usual mommy blog — and I love it for that.
Milk-Friendly — I shared Milk-Friendly before over Twitter, when I used to do my #momblogfinds thingiemajig. What I love about Maryam’s blog is that she combines two things I love: breastfeeding and style. Her nursing-friendly look books are amazing! Just goes to show how breastfeeding is so-not-frumpy! Check it out, especially if you are a milk mama! You’ll get lots of styling tips, I’m sure.
The Spoiled Mummy — Grace Barbers-Baja called me up one evening early last year when she had some ideas for a blog. We worked together to create the branding of her successful niche blog, The Spoiled Mummy, which was beautifully designed by my good friend and partner-in-blogs, Fancy Girl Design Studio. Grace’s knowledge of food and the fine things make her blog one of the prettiest and most informative foodie blogs out there. Check it out!
A Matter of Taste — I learned about “aMoT” (what her followers call her blog) when I did a search for “best Asia mom blogs.” This award-winning blog has been cited by Little Steps Asia two years in a row, and it’s not hard to see why! Mia Marchadesh-Jaranilla’s beautiful blog posts are always punctuated by stellar photography and intelligent notes. In fact, Mia and I connected online, and we also worked on the re-branding of her blog site, along with Fancy Girl Design Studio.
I Am Aimee Digeo — This isn’t really a new blog to me, but I only really started reading Aimee Diego’s blog a few months ago, and I’m glad I did. Having met her briefly on a few occasions, I really wanted to get to know her a bit better, and so I began regularly lurking around her blog. It’s one of the most well-written, intelligent blogs I’ve read! Do hop on over to her for some inspiration.
