I’m linking up with Melanie of Only a Breath and the One Word 365 Community.
I’ve shared this blog’s 2013 plans, the new directions I’m taking in 2013, and I’ve also shared my 2013 personal goals with you for the coming year.
Why have plans?
Because without them, my good intentions will fail.
Why have goals?
Because with nothing specific to reach for, I can’t make action steps to get me to where I want to be at the end of this year.
And why have one word?
Because this one word sums up the one quality I want to weave into my 2013 plans and goals, all of which I want to see through to fulfillment this year.
My one word for 2013 is: Enrich.
For me, to “enrich” means to actively pursue those things which will enhance, add beauty to, and improve my life. This means taking better care of myself, not only health-wise, but in the other things that will help add beauty to my life. Things like taking up a new hobby, or maybe resurrecting an old one, like photography and poetry writing. It also means investing in myself, which I have always been iffy about doing, simply because I just didn’t give myself, my appearance, my body much thought.
By the end of 2013, I want to say that I have enriched myself this year. Call it a happiness project, or maybe a life list hit list. This year will be one of learning new things, of embracing new lessons (which will surely be a mix of hard and harder!), and of realizing new dreams. Maybe I’ll have to make some lifestyle edits here and there, but in the end, I want to come out refreshed, a little bit wiser, and a whole lot braver.
How about you? What’s your one word for 2013?

“Enrich” is such a wonderful word Martine. One that can happen to you, but that you can also make happen for yourself and others….love it!

Hi Martine! Love your one word.. Am sure you’ll rock 2013 and come away enriched AND empowered.
Mine is Change, since that pretty much sums up a LOT of what I would be doing on a personal and professional level.. I didn’t know about the One Word community.. Thanks for sharing that as well.

Happy New Year, Prerna! I just read your post, and I am SO excited for the new things ahead for TMW! I’m diversifying, too. I’m going back to making Dainty Mom my personal blog, and directing all the WAHM stuf to WAHMderfulLife.com, which will be launched soon! It will be a blog where WAHMs can contribute and share their stories, and I hope you’ll guest post there one time!
Thank you, too, for being one of my staunchest supporters in 2012. Grateful to know you!
