Fresh berries are among my favorite things. They are, to me, the produce equivalent of jewelry. They look awesome in any dish you place them on (or in), and are a pleasure to stare at, not to mention gobble up. Take these berries here: They’re great on their own, but they are totally awesome when they’re topped with a dollop of cream, or as a topping on a yummy, every day treat.
One of the ways I make berries — or any every day dessert — a little bit more special is with COOL WHIP Whipped Topping. In fact, one of my family’s favorite treats is my berry and cream cheese bruschetta, which is made with a good helping of COOL WHIP. Whenever we have this, my husband and son always ask for second helpings. And because it’s so easy to make, I can always have seconds ready on hand.
We like having this creamy bruschetta either with breakfast, or as an afternoon snack, if not a smashing yet easy dessert. Have a look at it: Ain’t it a beaut?
You can make this delicious everyday treat, too — and in a snap, I might add! The ingredients are simple, and the steps are as easy as 1-2-3-4. Just follow my recipe after the jump:
Berry and Cream Cheese Bruschetta
Makes 4 servings
4 slices ciabatta (or any crusty loaf bread you have)
1 cup strawberries, sliced in half
1 cup blueberries
1 bar Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 cup COOL WHIP
Maple syrup (for drizzling on top)
1. Toast the bread slices.
2. Mix COOL WHIP and cream cheese in a bowl until creamily blended together.
3. Spoon a generous amount of cream cheese topping on each slice of bread.
4. Top with strawberries and blueberries. Drizzle with maple syrup.
This bruschetta is really a sight to behold, and it really tastes as good as it looks. I know, because my hubby always makes googly eyes at me whenever I make this!
