If I could only have one… {A meme}

Thanks to Toni, here I am again on meme mode. But I could use it; I’m still on a steady diet of leftover carrot cream cheese bars and chocolate milk from the weekend of partying–toddler-style. So here’s my return to the mom blogosphere.

Here we go. IF YOU COULD ONLY HAVE ONE_______ FOR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

1. City to live in…

I’d love to live in Singapore again, because I actually know what it’s like to live there. But if I were to wish on the stars, I’d choose New York. I know it’s just a fantasy fueled by watching too many movies like You’ve Got Mail and Serendipity, but my dad and mom and other friends who’ve been there (or lived there) say it really is something else. I wanna see for myself, perhaps from the point of view of my very own brownstone and cupcaker-ery.

2. Place to vacation at…

Europe. Went once, but can’t have enough: Food, romance, perfume and good leather. What more could a girl wish for?

3. Color to wear… 

Aqua or turquoise. It’s one of the few colors I actually look alive in and which I could sure use more of in my wardrobe.

4. Celebrity crush…

The correct answer is…

I love Hugh Jackman. Used to love Brad Pitt, but not anymore because he got boring… and weird.

5. Dessert to eat…

Chocolate cake. Molten chocolate cake, to be specific, with oodles of caramel drizzle and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side… Though red velvet cake comes awfully close, too. Of course, this would mean bidding my waist farewell forever, too.

6. Book to read…

Lord of the Rings trilogy. I read it throughout the year. I feel like my year isn’t complete without it.

7. Movie to watch…

 My go-to movie whether I’m happy, sad, or some depressing mix of both emotions; and my standard fits-any-season flick is…

 …Sleepless in Seattle. I love the soundtrack as well, which, if I had to live with just one playlist, would be the playlist I’d choose.

8. Celeb character as a roommate

Provided I was single, it would be:

Carrie Bradshaw!

And why not, when I dream of New York? I’m a writer, she’s a writer; I’m girly, she’s girly; I love clothes… you get the picture.

9. Type of food to eat: Considering my dessert is chocolate cake, I want something comforting for forever… so it would have to be

…(guiltily) adobo and hot, steaming rice. I love it in all its forms, and I can make a damn good one (Ask my husband).

10. TV show: God, this is hard. But considering it was one of the longest running shows (and I’d have ten years worth of reruns to watch over and over)…

Friends! People have said I’m a cross between a Rachel and Monica. Personally, I think I’m a feminine version of Ross.
