Today’s real home office is the work space of professional photographer, Aileen Siroy.
I first found out about Aileen from Frances’ site, where she featured Aileen’s review of her hand-made Batanggas leather satchel. (Plugging: I have one of these satchels myself! Go get one, too!) Since then, I started following Aileen’s blog and added her on Twitter (the best social network, for me, anyway!) and we started exchanging friendly online chats. In fact, when GMA’s Pop Talk was looking for a travel blogger to be one of their featured expert reviewers, Aileen was on the top of my list! (Do wait for the feature to air some time in November.)
But I digress.
Back to Aileen’s home-based work space, which–in all its simplicity–I totally adore! I’m a fan of clean lines and white, white, white. I also love how everything is thoughtfully appointed, and how she creates a vignette of sorts with her work space. She’s also a big DIY fan, as you’ll soon learn if you begin following her blog!
Here’s what Aileen had to say about her lovely little space.
“My workspace is very simple and basic. I do most of my post-processing work (for my photography) and travel writing in this small space. All my files are electronic, so I don’t have a filing cabinet or a shelf to keep papers and whatnots. I have a small apartment, so this workspace is quite perfect for me.
“I used to work in my dining table until a friend gave me this table she found in a store in Evangelista. The table used to be brown. I decided to paint it white. The magnetic blackboard on top I found in Wilcon’s was also brown. I just painted everything white!
This workspace matches my black-and-white-plus-splashes-
You can connect with Aileen on her personal blog and her travel blog.

Thank you, Teresa!
Thank you, Martine! What an honor it is to be featured in your blog! *thrilled and happy*
And thank you once again for giving my name to Pop Talk! I’m very grateful!
It was my pleasure, Aileen! I’m such a fan of your photography–Having your pics on my site makes it pretty, haha!
my goodness, aileen is so neat! i love her desk!!! although, i’d need a much bigger one to hold my imac, graphire tablet, sketchpad, color pencils, and notebooks! =) but that reminds me, i need a message board too.
Thank you, Patricia! Oh, you should show Martine your lovely workspace!
I’d LOVE to feature your workspace, Pat. I’m sure moms would get an idea or two from that, especially since you’re able to work AND play with your boys at the same time!
I love it decor style but man where does she keep her stuff? I should so send you mine. It’s all cute and organized but it is here to hold a LOT of organizational stuff. I adore the red and white.
Also I am exited I just found your blog today!
Hi, Brittany!
Aileen’s stuff is all digital, so everything’s in her Macbook!
I’d LOVE to see your place. If you want to submit your home office, you can email me at the.dainty.mom[at]gmail[dot]com with an explanation of your space, why you love, and also your best two pics of your space!
What an AWESOME blog you have! I love it! Thanks for stopping by mine.
Hi Brittany! See that little red external drive beside my laptop (second photo)? That’s where I keep everything!
As Martine mentioned, most of my files are digital.
